Cruise Control

Cruise Control

The cruise control system is an electronic aid which helps to regulate the vehicle's speed. It provides the driver with considerably greater comfort in particular on long journeys where a constant speed is maintained. It also makes it easier to comply with the stipulated speed limit (such as when passing through roadworks on the motorway) and reduces the risk of driving too quickly and of receiving a warning from the police. The system memorises and maintains the speed selected by the driver. The driver can increase or reduce speed manually to a defined value, and then also has the option of returning to the speed which was most recently memorised, should he desire to do so. The cruise control system can be deactivated by pressing the "Off" button or applying the brake or clutch. Note: For safety reasons, the cruise control system should not be used in heavy traffic or in difficult road conditions (on ice, in the wet, etc.).
